Questions to ask before you buy

The basics to know
- Original artwork
- A unique piece created by the artist. Every artwork on ARTsynonyme is an original.
- Limited edition
- A numbered series, such as 5/20. The lower the edition number, the more sought-after the piece may be.
- Certificate of authenticity
- An official document signed by the artist that guarantees the artwork’s authenticity. It is provided systematically.
- Mixed media
- An artwork combining several media, such as painting and collage or ink and watercolour.
