En art, la lumière a toujours eu son rôle à jouer, caressant ou agressant l'iris, elle est la matière première des peintres. Celui qui sait regarder au delà des apparences.

“INSPIRATION springs from colours and light...
Born in 1964 in Seine-et-Marne and drawn to Brittany since childhood, he settled there in 2003. His self-taught artistic practice has developed and grown richer over the years, driven by a tremendous appetite for learning. Whenever he can, he visits every exhibition, museum and gallery he encounters. He has now been painting for more than thirty years.
Having followed no conventional art-school path, he forged his technique through direct visual immersion. His “appetite for learning” in museums has kept him free from the constraints of academic rules.
His work is extremely sensitive, at once disconcerting and paradoxical, as he continually experiments and explores. His influences are numerous and he makes no attempt to hide them, readily mentioning Soulages, Asse, Lee Bae, Tal Coat, Doucet, Rebeyrolle and many others...
From time to time, he willingly ventures into provocation—not violent, but rather concealed.
“Inspiration springs from colours encountered during contemplative walks. There are many of them, and sometimes one gladly gets lost among them; once placed on the palette, they begin to play with memory, provided one knows how to look!””
