As an art therapist by training, I first encountered modeling through the lens of care, working with individuals facing psychological difficulties. At the same time, I was pursuing my own artistic experience with clay [or: with the medium].

Biography
Inquiring into the psychic processes at work within the creative process, I immediately oriented myself toward the modeling of abstract shapes, and more occasionally by exploring hard materials (steatite, limestone, cellular concrete).I also experiment with coloring my pieces using various techniques: wax polish, shellac, pigments, acrylic, and glazes. I explore emptiness, fullness, the third dimension, and relief that is experienced through the touch of the living surface of the clay, moving toward a sensory exchange. It is a game of hide-and-seek between myself and what is born from the hand-to-hand combat with the material. Something flows from the inside out.My intention is to establish a dialogue with the clay where it answers me, resists me, guides me, and calls me toward the unexpected. Never knowing in advance the path that will be taken… Starting without any preconceived idea, I leave room for the surprise of what will emerge as volume, hollow, empty, full, curves, and sharp edges before reaching a form that feels accomplished to me.This step-by-step path leads me toward a work where one can see organic themes, the body, the circular, movement, flight, verticality, the tortuous, the totemic…The search for movement guided me toward working the material in such a way that, once fired, it can be transposed in different directions and viewed from various angles. This offers the possibility of an interaction with the viewer, who can then manipulate and turn it over to decipher other volumes.Leaving a space for everyone’s imagination…
