Born in 1956, Varban Christov has lived in Vannes, Brittany, since December 1985.
Trained in Bulgaria, his works combine graphic writing, signs and symbols inspired by his origins and his fascination with materials. His artistic approach explores mystery and memory.
In 2016, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Vannes acquired several of his drawings and works.
Recognised in France and internationally, he received an award in October 2025 at the tenth International Biennial of Miniature Art in Ruse, Bulgaria.
